Your Newborn Experience
Newborn sessions are photographed when your baby is between 7-14 days new, because of this it is best to book when you're in your 2nd trimester.
All sessions are held Monday-Friday only, in Gold + Grace's studio which is located in Highland, MI (in the heart of downtown Highland off of M-59).
Our sessions are all-inclusive to ensure you will have the most relaxing and stress-free experience possible.
When you book with us, we will include everything you'll need to make your session experience one-of-a-kind! We have beautifully handmade wraps and swaddles, bonnets and hats, tiebacks and headbands, as well as felted critters like teddy bears, puppies, owls, hearts & more! A fully stocked studio for all of baby & mom's needs.
Natasha is fully certified in newborn safety and posing and has worked alongside one of MI's top-rated pediatricians. She has also been trained by many worldwide photographers. You can rest assured your baby will be photographed beautifully while in trained and safe hands.

About Our Hair & Makeup Artist
Liv is a professional makeup artist & hair stylist with a deep love for beauty, people, and especially for making every client who sits in her chair feel like the most amazing version of themselves. Her approach to hair & makeup is all about enhancing what you already have. She truly believes that we look our best when we FEEL our best, so it is always her goal to meet you at your comfort level, execute a beautiful photo ready look that enhances your features, matches you, & brings your vision to life.
When should I book?
We recommend booking your newborn session during your 2nd trimester or at least 2 months before your baby is due.
When will my session be?
All newborn sessions are schedueld 7-14 days after birth. We will use your due date as a temporary session date, once your baby has safely entered into the world we will set your permanent session date for 7-14 days after birth.
Do you have a client closet?
We do! Most of our maternity dresses can be used for non-maternity purposes as well. You are more than welcome to browse our collection, just let us know you're interested when booking!
When will my photos be ready?
Within 1-2 weeks after your session, you will come back to the studio for an ordering appointment. Once you have selected the images you wish to keep, your photos will be ready within 1 week after. Full turn around time from start to end, 2-3 weeks total typically (holidays are excluded from this).
Do I need to add hair & makeup to my session?
No, this is not a requirement. However, if you are choosing a package with parent poses, we do encourage it! Most moms are tired from being up with baby all night and don't have much time to get ready themselves the morning of their session. Our goal with having this option is to elevate any stress you may have that morning and also give you the opportunity to be pampered! After all mama, you just did the hardest thing in life - you created and brought life into this world- You deserve it!
What is included in my session?
Delicately made newborn props; such as wooden/or wicker beds, bowls, baskets, and crates.
Beautifully knitted swaddles and jersey-knitted wraps
Handmade newborn bonnets, hats, tiebacks, and halos.
Felted little critters for your newborn to hold; such as teddys, puppies, owls, hearts, & more!
A fully stocked studio supplied with all of mom & baby needs
A refreshment bar with water, juice, and coffee along with some snacks to munch on while waiting
A waiting lounge with a comfy couch, chair & ottoman to relax in (even take a nap!)
A private bathroom; with a vanity to get ready at
Do I need to bring anything?
Absolutely not! Our newborn sessions are all inclusive, meaning we provide everything needed for your session. All you have to do is show up with baby (you can even be in your PJ's and get ready at the studio!) and let us take care of everything.
What's a fully stocked studio?
Our studio is fully stocked, meaning we have everything from unopened/used pacifiers, bottles, bottle warmers, diapers (sized premie-1month). We even have items for post-partum mom, like pads/mesh undies, tucks wipes, nipple balm, breast milk cookies, and more! In case you forget something, we have it!
What is an ordering appointment?
Our ordering appointments consist of coming back to the studio 1-2 weeks after your session has taken place. During this appointment, we will have yummy sweets set out, sparkling cider, and your images ready for you to view. This appointment is exciting for most parents because you get to see your images for the first time, displayed on our TV in a slideshow format. After you've viewed your images, you will have the opportunity to go through and choose the ones you love the most and wish to keep! At this appointment, you may also add additional images to your gallery or products such as albums, wall art, gifts, and more!
What does it cost to book?
The only thing due at the time of booking is a deposit fee of $250. This amount will go toward your session collection. Your remaining amount is due the morning of your session.
