Welcome to Our Cake Smash Photography Sessions!
Let’s celebrate that BIG milestone—your little one’s first birthday! Our cake smash sessions are all about fun, personality, and creating joyful memories as your toddler digs into their first cake!
What to Expect:
-Custom Studio Setup: Each session takes place in our studio, featuring a custom setup designed around your chosen colors or theme. We’ll capture a few sweet milestone portraits before the main event—the cake!
Provided Backdrop & Cake: We supply a themed backdrop and a delicious cake, ensuring a memorable experience.
Digital Gallery: Your final gallery will include 20 hand-edited images, delivered in an online gallery within one week. Choose your favorites to keep forever!
How to Book:
1. Choose Your Date: When booking, select your desired date through our inquiry form. Please note that this does not guarantee availability until we connect.
2. Deposit & Confirmation: A deposit of $250 is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due the day before your session.
Availability: All birthday sessions are held M-F only with start times at 10am or 2pm. please let us know which timeframe you'd prefer in your booking inquiry.

FAQ
When should I book my Cake Smash Session?
I recommend booking your session at least 6–8 weeks in advance, especially for weekend availability. This gives us plenty of time to plan your setup and order anything custom if needed.
What is included in a Cake Smash Session?
Each session includes a fully styled setup based on your chosen theme, the portrait portion, the cake smash, and a simple cleanup/bath splash if you’d like to add that on.
Do I provide the cake?
All cakes provided by Gold + Grace are designed with buttercream frosting + a simple design. If you would like a specific style of cake, you will need to provide the cake. If your baby has allergies to any food - you will be asked to provide the cake.
There is a $50 removal of total cost if you are asked to provide cake.
Can I choose theme and colors?
Absolutely. I custom design every cake smash setup. Once you book, you’ll receive a questionnaire where you can share your theme, colors, and inspiration.
Do I need to bring anything to my session?
Yes! In the guide I send there will be a small list of items you should bring with you. This includes a towel for baby after bath, bath soap/bubbles, a favorite toy, and some small snacks like puffs or yogurt bites (easy to hide in cake).
Can parents and siblings be included?
You can add on parent + sibling portraits with baby if you would like for an additional fee. There is an option in your booking.
What should my baby wear?
Outfits are not included, but I can guide you on what photographs best. Simple, neutral, or themed outfits work best so the focus stays on your little one and the setup.
How long does the session take?
Cake smash sessions usually last around 45–90 minutes, depending on how baby is feeling and whether we include portraits and a bath splash.
