Welcoming a new member to your family can be one of the biggest milestones in your life, aside from getting married! At Gold + Grace Photography, Natasha understands the significance of this moment and takes great care in curating a Newborn Session that is truly unique to you and your family. This photography experience is designed to capture the precious memories of your little one and provide you with timeless keepsakes that you can cherish for years to come.
Our aim for your newborn session is to provide you with a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The session will be done within 7-14 days of your baby's birth, at Natasha's cozy studio located in downtown Highland, MI. Our studio is fully equipped with handmade wraps, hats, headbands, bonnets, and backdrops. We also have handcrafted felted animals, wicker baskets, vintage wooden buckets, wooden beds, and bowls for your little one's comfort and beautiful images.
You can be confident that your baby will be taken care of in a safe and clean studio environment, specifically designed for newborns and babies. Natasha at Gold + Grace is certified in newborn safety by APNPI and is fully trained to handle your baby safely. Before every newborn session, the studio is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to provide a hygienic space for you and your little one.
The Newborn Process:
Step 1: Booking
When you schedule your newborn photography session with Gold + Grace, all we require is your due date to reserve your spot. This gives us the flexibility to make any necessary timeline adjustments.
The photo session will be arranged after your baby's arrival, and it depends on the health and well-being of both baby and mother.
Typically, we schedule newborn sessions within 14 days after birth, which is the ideal time for capturing those precious first moments.

Step 2: Design + Prep
Just like no two babies are the same, no two newborn sessions are the same!
Each session is designed around the parent's individual color choices and styling. Once you have completed your booking, you will receive a questionnaire that allows you to custom design your session with color, prop, and styling choices that Natasha offers.
Your final design will have 3 prop setups and 2 fabric backdrop setups, giving you a large variety of beautiful images to choose from.
Gold + Grace Photography takes care of everything for parents. However, we understand that going into a new experience can be nerve-wracking if you're unsure of the whole process beforehand. To address this, we will send you a comprehensive preparation guide via email. This guide includes tips on how to prepare for your session and what to expect during it.
The Newborn Process:
Step 3: Session day!
Your newborn session is scheduled to take place when your baby is between 7-14 days old. As you bring your new bundle of joy home, it is best to get in touch with Natasha before leaving the hospital to set a date for the session. Once we have confirmed the date and time, I will send you a confirmation email that will include a session prep guide attached for your convenience.
When you arrive at the studio, your session will be fully planned and prepped for you and your baby. All the sets will be set up and available for you to take a look at before Natasha begins working with your baby. You will also find a waiting area equipped with a comfortable couch. You can help yourself to the fully stocked beverage bar, which offers complimentary snacks and drinks. If you wish, you can watch live TV or sign into your Netflix account to enjoy your favorite shows. Alternatively, you can even take a nap!
You are welcome to prepare for the session at the studio. We understand that getting a baby and yourselves ready can be challenging, especially if you are first-time parents. There is a private bathroom in the studio where you can change, do your hair, and makeup if you like.
The Newborn Process:
Step 4: Ordering appointment
The exciting day you've been waiting for has finally arrived! One week after your session, we welcome you back to our studio to view your photos for the first time. During this appointment, you'll make your final selections on which images you'd like to keep and which package best suits you and your family. You'll have the opportunity to choose your preferred digital images as well as handcrafted photo products like albums and wall art that can be displayed in your home.
You can expect your final images to be ready within 2 weeks of your ordering appointment, while your fine art pieces will be ready within 5-6 weeks.

As part of the special and memorable Newborn Experience, we offer the opportunity to capture family portraits that celebrate this joyous occasion with your loved ones. These portraits are usually taken towards the end of the session and include parents and siblings, so everyone can have a moment with the newest bundle of joy to cherish forever.
INVESTMENT
Your newborn session will be fully customized to your family. With beautiful colors and props to choose from and Natasha's creative touch, you can guarantee you'll have beautiful memories that will last a lifetime!
Your session fee includes your consultation/planning with Natasha, the time allocated for your session, access to all props, swaddles, and accessories, as well as your in-person ordering appointment. Our studio is fully equipped with all necessary items for both baby and mom, in case something is left behind. Additionally, you'll have access to our complimentary refreshment and snack bar during both your session and ordering appointment.
Digital images, products, and collections are purchased separately during your ordering appointment.
